I am SO ready to change carrieres but do not want to have to inform a gazillion people about my new number. HELP!

with the new law that was passed 2 years ago, cell phone providers are required to give you options for keeping your old number( however this those not apply to the prepaid phones) My daughter just changed from T Mobile to Verizon and kept her number. I think most carriers allow that. most numbers will transfer. i was unlucky enough to have one that wouldnt, so i had to change it. You can keep your number buddy. Its the law!! Find your new carrier and asked them what you have to do. I switched from Alltell to Verizon and kept my number, it took a like a week though! Good Luck They do let you carry over your number from Altell-Cingular visa versa. I%26#39;m pretty sure T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint do also. I%26#39;m not sure about Cricket though. every number will transfer if you ask. their was a new law passes last year that allows you to keep you number. But all you have to do is ask :]
