It stands for Personal Unblocking Keycode.

If you get your PIN wrong three times, the phone locks you out and you need the PUK, which you can only get from the network that originally sold you the phone.

**STOP - READ THIS*** - as some people have answered, the code is NOT 1111, 0000, or 8888. That%26#39;s the PIN2 code, and changes depending on the operator. It is the second type of security for your phone. Should be the last 4 digits of the phone number itself. But Refer to the manual for that. Otherwise it should be under the security features of the phone. PIN Unlock Key (PUK) is available with the service provider. the puk code is either 1111, 0000 or the last 4 digits of your cell number..if this doesn%26#39;t work call the carrier for more info.

take care You can also try 8888 PUK is personal unblock code and it is 8digit long.

When you mistype your pin code for a few times, the phone gets blocked and asks for the puk number.

You can get the numer by calling your service provider customer care and giving your details to them...
