What Ss The Difference Between Infrared And IrDa?

what%26#39;s the difference between Infrared and IrDa? are they the same or are they different? i know what infrared does, but what is IrDa, for example i am getting this phone (Nokia 6151) (http://www.nokia.co.uk/a4221222)... and i know it has bluetooth connection, but it also says it has IrDa Connectivity, i would like to know what this is, basically the main question is... does the Nokia 6151 have Infrared? thank you very much in advance, elelamb :D

Yes, both are Same.

Nokia 6151 has infrared/IrDa.

But just to let you know Bluetooth is much more faster then Irda.

IrDa is best for copy contacts from one to another.(you can do this with bluetooth) its so slow.

compaired to 3 connectivity WLAN(wifi), Bluetooth, Infrared

Fastest is WLAN and you can join in your local network. even wifi internet access if its available in your area.

Note: your phone(Nokia 6151) dont have Wifi . IrDa and infrared are the same thing. IrDa is just a certain standard of infrared.
